Friday 3rd July
10:36pm English Time
All safely arrived and awaiting to disembark the ferry.
Estimated arrival time at school remains 12:30am.
The school car park is open for the coach and some cars - please make sure you do not block the access for the coach.
Could I also remind everyone that although we will all be excited to get the children back, our neighbours on Walden House Road may not share our enthusiasm, especially as bedroom windows are likely to be open!
8:47pm English Time
And they are away ....... phew!
Anticipated arrival time at school will be an hour later at 12:30am however as soon as they are this side of the channel and the sat nav kicks in we will have a better estimate. I will update everyone again as soon as I know.
8:22pm English time.
They are on the ferry!!!!!
Just awaiting news of when they actually leave and expected docking times
6:28pm English time.
The children are safely at Dunkirk, through the traffic and booked onto the ferry.
Due to delays the 8pm (local time) ferry is now expected to depart by10pm (local time) at the latest. The situation is changing all the time and they are hopeful that the departure will be earlier.
Miss Cleghorn has asked me to let you all know that the children are being fantastic. They have been kept well informed of the situation and are doing their bit to make the journey easier for everyone.
As soon as they board the ferry and have a confirmed departure time I will update this blog and let everyone know the estimated time of arrival.
Thursday 2nd July
Just to reassure you the Chateau are providing extra food for the children, for their return journey tomorrow.

Wednesday 1st July
Due to the industrial action in Calais we have been in discussion with the Ferry and have decided to change our booking on Friday. This is to avoid any chance of the coach being stranded in Calais; the coach will now be departing from Dunkirk.
The disadvantage with this arrangement is that the coach will be returning to school for later than anticipated.
The new times are;
Ferry from Dunkirk – 7:00pm (English time)
Arrive Dover – 9:00pm (English time)
Anticipated return to school – 11:30pm (English time)
Thank you for your understanding with this matter. Our priority is to get all the children safely home.
Miss Sarah Vass
